The classic. The cut-throat rivalry. The drama.
Every hype and everything superlative statements lead to this one particular NBA Finals: THE Los Angeles Lakers versus THE Boston Celtics.
Then: Magic-Worthy-Kareem vs. Bird-McHale-Parish: Truly Star Wars!
Now: Kobe-Odom-Gasol (plus Artest, if you will) vs. Allen-Pierce-Garnett (plus Rondo, if you like): The Battle of Heroes!
This year’s Finals, for the 2nd time in 3 seasons and 12th time overall the Lakers and Celtics will meet once again in 2010 NBA Finals. To add to the drama, 8 of the 10 starters of both teams have met 2 years ago in the same event.
Views on L.A. Lakers
*yawn* They did it again. With such bunch of great players and a super-coach, the Lakers Management did a great job in executing behind-the-curtain strategies.
And, it was fortunate for the Lakers to have a legendary coach and Master Zen in Phil Jackson. Want some proof? Phil Jackson said, “We don’t have a smackdown mentality,” allegedly commenting on how the Celtics play – for example, KG’s Karate Kid impersonation on Dwight’s forearms in Game 6 of the 2010 Eastern Conference Finals. Ouch! But KG said he wouldn’t bother, saying Phil is just playing his oft mind games.
Looking back to 2008 NBA Finals finale – the Lakers team bus trapped in Celtics fans celebration with some rocks thrown at them – the Lakers will surely NOT going to let that traumatic experience happen again – thus the mind game?
Views on Boston Celtics
Celtics are like wines – quality comes with age. Ray Allen, Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett are veterans of the L, and they provide the maturity no other NBA Team except the Celtics has privilege to have insider access to.
This year’s playoff has been tiring – facing LeBron’s ever-uprising Cavs, then facing the 8-0 Magic. Nevertheless, the Celtics show that playing superior, get-down-and-dirty D will always get you far. With big bodies of Kendrick Perkins and Glen Davis, along with the D of KG, their interior defense is uber-powerful. Just ask Dwight Howard.
With more (veteran) stars filling their non-starting-5 lineup – Nate Robinson, Michael Finley and Rasheed Wallace – the Celtics are equipped with loads of experience to win another Title.
Prediction, prediction
Let’s cut the cr@p and start making prediction.
Apologies to Lakers fans, but I feel that the Boston Celtics will win the 2010 NBA Finals. Unless Odom can clutch on regular basis like Robert Horry, the Lakers won’t stand a chance against the experienced and deep squad of Boston Celtics. Kobe? He’s not MJ. Period.

Yeah. Kobe might not be MJ but he’s right next to him anyway… 1-1 is just fine. LAKERS would bag the next succeeding games… (I hope so…)
