A High School Girls Basketball Team Wins 100-0 (But the School Wants to Forfeit the Win)

A high school girls basketball team won 100-0, but want to forfeit the win? What on earth…?
The basketball game involved two high school girls basketball teams from Texas, The Covenant School vs. Dallas Academy, as reported by AP through Yahoo! Sports’ Rivals High.
The final score: 100-0 for the victory of The Covenant School. Embarassing, yes. But basketball is basketball – 100-0 or 200-0, it doesn’t really matter, just keep playing.
All agree on this? Um, nope.
But the head of The Covenant School thinks the otherwise, stating, “a victory without honor is a great loss.”
Honor? What honor? Honor is playing the game of basketball to the end. And for this, I salute the Dallas Academy girls!
But I’m sorry Ms. head of The Covenant School, I can’t say I fav on your decision, wanting to forfeit the game – for the sake of the so called “honor”?
What if YOUR school basketball team is just too good? Wouldn’t it be a success of your sports development program?
In my opinion, forfeiting a 100-0 win will only do worse for the Dallas Academy girls – they should feel insulted! A 100-points margin loss PLUS a pity? What the…?
For The Covenant School girls basketball team: Never stop playing the real sport of basketball… ‘ya dig?
For the Dallas Academy girls basketball team: Keep on playing and loving the game of basketball… this is the real life – get over the loss and be better!
‘Nuff said.
