I just browsing Twitter and poking guys and gals I know, when I found out from Allen Iverson’s real Twitter account, that he is finally going to Memphis Grizzlies.

Here are a couple of updates from AI’s Twitter account:

God Chose Memphis as the place that I will continue my career. I met with Mr. Heinsley, Chris Wallace and my next head coach Lionel Hollins

I feel that they are committed to developing a winner and I know that I can help them to accomplish that. I feel that I can trust them.

This is actually can do good for both Allen Iversion and the Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies are definitely in need of a veteran baller to bring the team to the next level. In the other hand, AI need his minutes.

With O.J. Mayo and Mike Conley as running mates at the backcourt, AI’s presence will likely to sideline Conley and will let AI and OJ run the Grizzlies – Not a bad scenario, after all. Or is it?

The signing of AI looks good on paper. Unless OJ and Rudy Gay are having problem with sharing the spotlights with AI, the Grizzlies will be an offensive threat. AI will likely to run the show, and if (God forbid) he is willing to share the ball, OJ and Rudy will enjoy some open shots, as AI will definitely attract defenders (please note, OJ and Rudy averaged 18+ points per game each last season.)

But then again, with all due respect, AI is well known as a baller who doesn’t do well sharing spotlights with the other star players. The Pistons are probably fed up (they are definitely better off with Billups running the point) with the superstar ego that AI has, but the right team chemistry could bring the best of AI.
