When an NBA team enters the NBA record book, it’s usually a heart-warming experience. However, that is not the case with the Cavs; entering the record book adds gloom and doom to the whole team. What gives?
Well, thanks to the most recent loss to Dallas Mavericks on Monday 96-99, the Cavs set the record for most losses in a row with 25 straight slumps. Cleveland Cavaliers are the best in NBA history for the category.
Losing LeBron, Ilgauskas and some other key players during the off-season – thanks to the dismal effort of the Cavs executives who didn’t want to accept the fact that LeBron just don’t want to be a Cav. They focus on keeping LeBron while missing great players available on free agencies.
The mistakes pay real bad. Propelled by… ahem… Antawn Jamison (sorry Antawn fans – no matter how he play hard, I just don’t like his hoops game – especially when he is the Number One on an NBA Team,) the Cavs can’t seem to figure out how to win an NBA game lately.
Antawn Jamison leads the Cavs with 17.2 points per game, but that’s all about him, really. He can’t seem to grab any rebounds, only doing 6.5 rebounds per game. For a starting Power Forward, that’s a joke, really.
Varejao? I like his tenacity, but he just doesn’t have that basketball IQ. He can rebound the ball and do some defense, but that’s all, really.
Cavs management – please do something here; the results are killing the loyal fans. I like the Cavs team in the 90s – with Brad Daugherty and Larry Nance run the twin tower of terror against all the opponents, while Mark Price were bombing from all over the court.
The LeBron era? I don’t really like Cavs at that time, to be honest with you. Relying too much on a single superstar will always do the trick to fail to achieve anything, especially when the end of his contract approaches.
Wake up! Snap the losing streak, man! You are embarrassing me!
