Joel Anthony, NBA’s Miami Heat center, is struggling to earn minutes and respect from his coach, but hard work always pays back. He does what he can do best: Rebounding the basketball.
Joel grabbed a career high 16 rebounds in 43 minutes, putting him into the media spotlight. What’s special about his rebound count is that because he is now a member of 2 ballers club; the other one is being a retired NBA “worm,” Dennis Rodman. Joel Anthony is just the second player – the first being Rodman – who grabs such rebound without taking a single field goal and free throw attempt.
Talking about hard work paying off – he is a fourth year Miami Heat (drafted by the Heat) and waiting, and waiting, and waiting for a chance to start for the Heat. He is still struggling, but at least earns good respect from teammates, such as D Wade.
While D Wade and LeBron are busy shootin’, dishin’ and dunkin’ – running the Heat basketball – Joel is quietly doing what he does best: Rebounding the ball – something the Heat need as Bosh, their rebound man, is injured.
