Rashard Lewis - Suspended for doping

Orlando Magic is down with the iron fist (maybe to rev-up their ballers after the 2008-2009 disappointing NBA Finals series defeat?) – They slammed Rashard Lewis for a 10 games suspension after he got tested positive using performance-enhancing drug that raise his testosterone level, as reported by the AP on ESPN.

He didn’t do it on purpose though – Lewis stated that he took an over-the-counter supplement that contains a substance he didn’t realize was banned by the NBA.

Lewis said that he will take full responsibility and accept the suspension – He also apologize to the fans, teammates and the Magic organization. He could play again on November 16, 2009 after the 10 games suspension, while losing $1.6 million of his $18 million salary in 2009-2010 season.

Lewis is the sixth NBA ballers tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs since the NBA began testing in 1999.

Apologies accepted – We’ll be waiting for your return, Lewis!
