Now here’s an exciting news for Miami Heat fans worldwide – Mike Bibby, the NBA veteran point guard and a well-seasoned playoff regulars is set to join the Miami Heat after being traded from Atlanta to Washington a while ago (source: Yahoo! Sports)

If this rumor is proven to be true, Miami Heat has again add a missing puzzle of an NBA Championship-capable team, after failing to sign Troy Murphy, who can help the Heat with his rebounding game.

With Bibby, the Heat will get more than just skills – they will get a player with solid playoffs experience (80 postseason games as a starter.) During the 2010-2011 NBA season, Bibby averages 9.1 points per game, 2.5 rebounds per game and 3.6 assists per game in 29.4 minutes per game.

Mike Bibby’s arrival is not without sacrifices. Carlos Arroyo, the Heat ex-starting point guard will be waived – probably due to some issues with Heat Coach Erik Spoelstra (Since Jan 30, 2010, he only plays a total of 27 minutes – he was starting in 42 of 49 Heat basketball games.)

Mike Bibby will be a best fit for the star-studded NBA team: With role players, such as Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Udonis Haslem, Mike Miller, Eric Dampier and Juwan Howard, Miami Heat is set to be the 2011 NBA Champions.

Let’s see how it goes.
