How big is “Twitter Effect” in the NBA? The impact of Twitter in the NBA is so big that the NBA is considering putting into effect a Twitter policy that ban Twitter around games.
As reported by NBA FanHouse, although the NBA Commissioner, David Stern, hasn’t set any ground rule, the no-tweeting policy will likely to regulate this: no tweeting before, during and after the game. Ouch.
According to Tom Ziller of NBA FanHose, it’s best to leave the Twitter policy to each team’s discretion.
In my humble opinion, the NBA and the teams should focus on how to “serve” and get fans into the building to keep themselves afloat (comfortably), rather that mingling on NBA ballers’ tweet-about.
