How does social networking stuffs, such as Twitter, affect NBA and the players?
Shaq does Twitter, and Charlie Villanueva, too.
The difference between them is, Shaq tweets in his free time, while Charlie tweets… during the game!
What?!
I stumble on a news by cnet, reporting that Charlie Villanueva, Milwaukee Bucks’ Starting Power Forward, is using Twitter during the Bucks vs. the Celtics game.
Is the Bucks leading by 25 points? No. The game is tied at half time. Instead of getting psyched to play great ball game, Mr. Villanueva tweets “In da locker room, snuck to post my twitt. We’re playing the Celtics, tie ball game at da half. Coach wants more toughness. I gotta step up.”
What the… ?!
His Twitter profile name is CV31 (Charlie Villanueva #31). You can follow his tweets if you want, but he wouldn’t be a good example of how should a professional baller do during the crucial NBA game.
However, in the game, Twitter proves to be a great tool to make an NBA baller better on court :) The Bucks win the game with 86-77, and CV scores team high 19 points. Talk about CV’s 8000+ Twitter followers cheering on him…
What the… ?!
Oh well, maybe Twitter does help NBA ballers to relieve some on court pressure… or CV just got lucky and escapes suspension by Bucks’ Coach Scott Skiles? Who knows… (I’m gonna tweet CV on this…)
