The Portland Trail Blazers is a strong NBA team this season. With the new addition of Gerald Wallace, they are now a strong contender to Northwest division leader, Oklahoma City Thunder.
As reported by Examiner.com, The trade will make the Blazers better – in exchange for Gerald Wallace, they traded Joel Przybilla, Dante Cunningham, Sean Marks and two first-round draft picks to Charlotte.
I honestly can’t think how Charlotte would agree to this. Maybe they want to give room for Tyrus Thomas to show his stuff, but I’m not sure Tyrus is any better than Gerald Wallace. I always like the high-flying Tyrus, but he’s not a strong forward, despite a good rebounder and shot blocker. Gerald is a more intimidating baller than Tyrus, I think. However, stats-wise, Tyrus is a better player when we compare his per-48-minutes stats with Gerald, but I’m not sure.
Gerald Wallace will likely to take the starting 5 spot in Portland very soon. He’s an NBA All-Defensive player last season, and this fact can help Portland to hardening their defense.
