Obama Picks Cleveland Cavaliers to Win 2009 NBA Championship

I’ve stumble on an interesting short article from The Caucus Blog of NY Times about what President Barack Obama think about which NBA team will be the 2009 NBA Champion.
Obama predicts The Cavs will face The Lakers in 2009 Playoffs Final. How ’bout that for a prediction?
I must say, I agree with him. The Lakers are a strong Title contender as last year (even probably stronger), and The Cavs, well, if LeBron keep himself healthy throughout the season, will take the home court advantage in the Finals (If they survives heavy competition from other Eastern NBA Teams.)
With 36 wins and only 1 loss at home (61-13 overall) as of today (with 13 winning streak), The Cavs are a formidable team this year that will rake home court advantages along the way in the playoffs.
The Lakers’ 58-16 record, with only 3 games behind the Cavs, could catch up and grab the home court advantage – again, if they survive their competitors in the West.
Let’s see how it goes!

You must have a lot of confidence in the Cavs to say the Lakers could catch them for HCA. The Cavs would have to lose three of their last games. With the record they have compiled this season its not bloody likely. This post is pretty weak.
Oh yeah and you may want to learn to read. Obama only predicted the Cavs to play the Lakers in the finals,,,,,,,NOT TO WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP. The post caption is total BS.
Hi,
For me, I bet on the Magic. But in Cavs vs. Lakers case, I’d go for Cavs.
If you followed the news on Obama’s remark, he did impressed with the Cavs’ achievement – so, it’s safe to assume that Mr. Obama chose the Cavs to win the C’ship.
“The post caption is total BS” – but you caught the bait and put up not just one, but two comments, didn’t you? ;)
