Stan Van Gundy, Orlando Magic coach, has won a “huge” award – he has unanimously voted by NBA players as the most annoying coach in the NBA.
According to Orlando Sentinel, Sports Illustrated polled 138 NBA players with a question: “Which coach is most annoying during games?” The results: 65 percent think that Stan Van Gundy is the most annoying coach of all during NBA games. Lakers’ Phil Jackson and Bucks’ Scott SKiles rank second and third – both with 7 percent.
Van Gundy barks instructions to his players, complaints to the referees, yells in desperation, etc. – throughout the game. I wonder whether he is also annoying for Orlando’s players…
As of for me, the most annoying of all is Phil Jackson with his “zen coaching” and such – with all due respect, his sarcastic comments on and off the court is really “strong.” Or maybe I choose Phil because Van Gundy coaches the Magic, my fav NBA team?
