Starbury and the Knicks Management - What Gives?
Stephon Marbury of the New York Knicks - a.k.a. Starbury is no longer has that star quality. Or, Donnie Walsh, the Knicks GM, is no longer a team and fans oriented GM?
Either way, a bad, bad situation falls on the New York Knicks, which has just undergone major face lifts to go all-out pursuing LeBron James - Chris Bosh.
Starbury, as reported by Yahoo! Sports, rejected D’Antoni request to play, when he is urgently needed by the team to be a hero.
Well, Starbury is definitely disappoint me as a fan - whatever reason he has for rejecting his team’s request to play. But nevertheless, he has his own reason to do what he is doing right now. And my guess is, the Knicks management has done quite a mess themselves.
Pursuing LeBron and/or CB is a good deed of Walsh, the Knicks GM. But, please, all of this hassle and mess for 2010? What Knicks fans are suppose to do this two years? Cheering a broken team with bad team chemistry, that they are faithfully cheering for the last 7 losing NBA seasons?
Hopefully the Knicks solve this problem more sooner than later, and avoid being what the typical: big team, big city, but poor management - I remember those days where the Hawks and Trail Blazers are as broken as the Knicks.
Best of luck, New York Knicks!
