The Basketball Hall of Fame has opened a Michael Jordan exhibit. MJ is planned to be inducted into the HOF Class of 2009 next month (the enshrinement will be on September 10-12, 2009), but since we all know that MJ is the one who “forms” the NBA, maybe this is the right way to celebrate the National Basketball Association birthday on August 3rd, 2009.
The 2000 square feet space dedicated to Michael Jordan features items from Jordan’s historical NBA career, including from his prequel at North Carolina and from the original Dream Team in 1992 Summer Olympic. And oh, if you remember MJ playing baseball, there is a batting glove to let us remember that baseball is definitely not his game (LOL)…
The exhibit is funded with the partnership between the HOF and the Jordan Brand, a Nike division, for the amount of $250,000.
If you are wondered where MJ is now – He runs basketball operations for the Charlotte Bobcats. Hmm… I cannot help feeling that his basketball managerial skills resemble his baseball skills… Just a thought, though.
