Again and again.
Here’s the recap of the 2009 Soph vs. Rooks and the Celeb game that has just ended all and well :)
2009 NBA All-Star Rookie Challenge – The Sophomores vs. The Rookies.
The Sophomores, driven by Kevin Durant’s 46 points performance, crushed The Rookies again with 122-116.
Durant’s performance get him the 2009 Rookie Challenge MVP trophy. Shooting 17 for 25, Kevin Durant single-handedly lead the Soph alley-ooping, driving and shooting over the Rooks. Rodney Stuckey’s 9 assists also worth a mention here…
On the Rookies side, Michael Beasley scores 29 points on 11-of-22 shooting. Nice performance, but not good enough to lift the Rooks over the Sophs. And, oh – I saw Greg Oden sitting on the bench all game. Poor Oden – LOL.
Let the Rooks be the rooks! :D They will have their chances next year.
2009 NBA All-Star Celebrity Game
On a funner side, Terrell Owens, the Dallas Cowboys’ wide receiver grabbed the 2009 Celebrity Game MVP Trophy, again, after playing a crazy game (like usual, the T.O. style) :D T.O.’s 17 points is enough to get him another MVP.
I particularly enjoy Thunder Dan’s return to Phoenix. I watched his game during his prime time, and he still show the remnants of his glory today – from where else? The 3-point line. He did 3 of 4 from downtown.
On the sideline, I enjoyed to see Magic Johnson, my childhood hoops idol, back to the NBA basketball floor.
